U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison once said Republican anti-abortion activists who politically opposed her were on a “kamikaze mission.”
Now, their mission is to sink her bid for governor.
All of Texas' major anti-abortion organizations have endorsed Gov. Rick Perry's re-election over Hutchison and activist Debra Medina in the Republican primary. And when about 3,000 activists rallied at the Capitol Saturday to call for overturning the landmark Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in America, Perry was there to tell them to “keep this issue at the forefront.”
Without naming Hutchison, Perry took a swipe at her recent debate answer explaining her support for the Roe v. Wade decision. Hutchison said if the decision was overturned, some states would become “abortion havens” where fetuses could be terminated until birth.
“Why do our federal leaders hide behind Roe v. Wade, claiming in some inexplicable way that it actually protects babies. We know it doesn't,” Perry told the crowd, which chanted “Perry!, Perry!, Perry!” as his speech ended.

Kay once said pro life peeps were on a "kamikaze mission" agains her...
A strange comment from Kay on abortion (link). Excerpt follows...
Kamikaze mission? That is some elitist disdain right there... and I am surprised but not as surprised as peeps like Dallas Morning News reporter Wayne Slater and many others who continue trying to frame this election in terms of social conservative versus fiscal conservative... Rick's peeps have not used this issue more against Kay. Kay's abortion stances and statements are where she gets into a lot of trouble... she is just uncomfortable discussing this issue...

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
