More frustration popped up in Hutchison's discussion of last year's legislative session. She said she chose not to publicly tangle with Perry during the session, but added that her silence was widely depicted as a sign of weakness, and was not reciprocated by the governor.
“Sometimes I think he's running for the Senate, he's so critical of what (U.S. Sen.) John Cornyn and I do,” she said. “He's obviously using the huge issues and the difficult votes that we've taken against us, which I never did during the state legislative session.”
This is so wrong and laughable...
I can think of several examples I blogged about back during session... the primary one being when Kay criticized Rick for refusing more than half a billion dollars in federal money for unemployment insurance expansion. Kay said at the time that Rick should find a way to take the money... but now she criticizes Rick for taking any federal money. Rick was one of maybe two or three governors to actually end up turning down any federal money. Kay criticized Rick for that.
There is a video and everything...
Come on Kay... don't play the victim role. It is not a winning move. Neither is writing off conservatives by declaring that Rick is the "hard right" candidate in the race...

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
