Addressing a group of black community leaders in Dallas , Bill White said Tuesday he meant no disrespect by not meeting with Barack Obama during the president's visit to Texas.
"I kept on a campaign schedule, just as the president did when he was running for election," White said. "There was no disrespect intended."

Really? He couldn't even make it to the event that caused him to miss the prez coming to town? How is this critical fact not mentioned in every story about his snub of Obama?
