And in his own tale, Watson raises some good questions — why did Perry have a gun but not a cell phone? If you fear snakes, is shooting them the best way to avoid them? And who carries a handgun on a morning run?
Did Rick say he did not have a phone? From what I understand, Rick carries his phone everywhere he goes... including that day... even if Rick didn't carry his phone that day, why would that be a good question?
As for those other "good questions" that Kirk Watson raised...
Whiff.
Swing and a miss by Jason Embry.
Yes the press should be asking our elected politicians tough questions. Not about coyotes... maybe about why they are hiding their taxes... or what they are going to do in 2011 regarding the budget situation... or where they stand on school vouchers... or how they will approach relations with the federal government in this new Washington-centric era... or whether they intend to veto gambling legislation... or what they want to do on education...
Yes Kirk Watson's mocking dig at Rick was pretty creative and funny. It wasn't thought provoking though, and it didn't raise any good questions.
What is wrong with the press corps these days? It's like they have Rick Derangement Syndrome or something. It is the silly season... read the comments on that blog... also the silly season...

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
