Even liberal columnists are mocking Bill White...

Liberal columnist Bud Kennedy is an ardent and often unfair critic of Rick...

He believes Bill White is actually lucky nobody saw his debate performance (link). Excerpt follows...

AUSTIN -- Houston Democrat Bill White launched what amounts to his "Too Little, Too Late" Tour on Tuesday night.
Already outlegged in the polls by Republican Gov. Rick Perry, White was often upstaged by Houston Libertarian Kathie Glass as the candidates scrapped for last-minute support in the second and final debate of the gubernatorial campaign.
On a night when his campaign needed statewide TV, instead White was left playing to the few viewers who weren't watching the baseball playoffs. They saw him talk about how Perry has "milked teachers' retirement for campaign cash" and about billions of dollars misspent here and millions there.
But in a moment that might be a metaphor for White's campaign, viewers also saw him called out by moderator Christy Hoppe of The Dallas Morning News for turning a simple "lightning round" question into a windy, Harvard-lawyer explanation of why he wouldn't rate President Barack Obama on a scale of 1 to 10.
"Mayor White," Hoppe interrupted, "this is a lightning round."
Glass followed with a lightning answer, rating Obama as a 1 -- "He's the worst president ever."

Bill White basically has no path to victory. Turnout is reportedly up in heavily Republican areas of Texas... Rick is in full onslaught mode on television and radio... more and more articles are being written about Texas being the "model" state with a better economy than the rest of the country...

Bill White's October surprises are lackluster and wonky... and old news that has usually been debunked often even years ago... so the more Bill White gets behind in the polls with less and less time on the clock, the more dirty his campaign looks as it haphazardly flings baseless, desperate allegations at Rick...

  1. RickvsKay, Perry's not done making White's life hell yet, the Perry campaign launched a new TV ad calling out White's dirty secrets on how he destroyed Houston.

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
