Bill White is just more of the same...

When politicians call a press conference with a "major announcement" promised, reporters will go... they have to go...

Eventually though you have to do something... you have to say something new...  and Bill White just keeps having the same inconsequential, hypocritical press conference over and over...

Ken Herman pointed this out earlier this week... Bill White is just a broken record and is not saying anything new (link). Excerpt follows...

The reporter murmur prior to Bill White's news conference here Monday was pretty much the same as the reporter murmur after Bill White's news conference here Monday.
"Nothing new," a Capitol journalist said during a pre-event scan of a campaign handout entitled "In Perry's Texas, state government for sale."
About 16 monotone minutes later, after White made his case and took some questions, another reporter wondered aloud: "Is it just me, or was that more of the same?"
No, it is not just you. It was more of the same, a sameness that carried a dual sadness: Sad as in Democrats are bumfuzzled as to why it's not getting more traction and sad as in it seems like something that should, at the least, get voters' attention.

Eventually you lose credibility... you lose the ability to draw a crowd when you don't actually announce anything new...

Bill White has taken millions from one person Steve Mostyn... and yet now he is the champion of campaign finance limits... Bill White appointed campaign donors all throughout the city government... and yet now he has the nerve to bash Rick on doing the same... Bill White has ethics scandals swirling all around him... frankly he has conducted himself in some shameful behavior when it comes to personally profiteering off of hurricanes and all of that... and his message for the final week of the campaign is ethics? Hello... BTEC....

Doesn't it just seem like candidates who at the end of campaigns begin calling for term limits even though they fought against them... or campaign finance limits even though they have taken exorbitant sums from a small cabal of shady individuals... doesn't it seem like those are the cries of a failed... past tense failed... and sad candidacies?

The road to Loserville is paved with late campaign promises of term limits and campaign finance limits...

  1. White is so desperate for attention, he's repeating himself over and over and you notice that he has NO big crowd whenever he speaks.

Perry draws hundreds if not thousands to his events whenever he shows up.

Can you say a landslide reelection blowout with Perry winning around 13-19 points ?

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
