Debra Medina and Alex Jones... conspiracy theories...

Wayne Slater points out just how crazy Medina can sound at times (link). Excerpt follows...

Medina is part of that group – a top volunteer in Paul's 2008 presidential bid, a former Wharton County GOP chairwoman, a staunch opponent of abortion, a Christian conservative and home-schooler. Although Paul has not formally endorsed her candidacy, he has written a letter praising her as "a real defender of liberty."

She is a favorite on the Tea Party circuit. She's also attracted support from the political fringe.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who believes the U.S. government was behind the 9/11 terrorist attack, recently engaged her on his radio show.

"Death to the New World Order?" said Jones.

"Yes, absolutely," Medina said.

"So you are against the globalists?" he asked.

"Against the globalists," she responded.

Alex Jones is truly a wild eyed conspiracy theorist... he is entertaining... he is interesting... he is even scarily persuasive at times... but he is also really out there. He is a 9/11 truther... believes in all kinds of secret society conspiracies of global domination... hates free trade... thinks there is a diabolical plan of the Bilderberg group to depopulate the planet and enslave those who aren't killed to toil for a select group of power brokers... really crazy theories...

Why was Medina going on his show? It is difficult to take her seriously when she is cozying up to the Alex Jones set.

  1. Perry's folks must be getting scared if they're breaking out the ol' conspiracy theorist by association crap.

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
