Rick and Kay campaigns not answering questions on phone about abortion....

Someone from Rockwall wrote a blog today expressing frustration with both the Rick and Kay campaigns for their lack of responsiveness to a question over the phone (link). Excerpt follows...

For several weeks now I’ve been trying to contact the Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and Gov. Rick Perry campaigns to learn their official positions about abortion. Should be easy enough, right?

Wrong!

My two emails and phone call to the Hutchison campaign between Dec. 20 and 28 were requests for info to better understand why her campaign radio ads were touting her 94 percent “Pro-Life” record, when she’s known for being “Pro-Choice.”

Unfortunately there were no replies, even though the receptionist claimed she would make sure someone returned my call from the media.

Bah humbug... campaigns are notorious for being bad at answering these kinds of questions... typically it is unpaid interns answering phones... and the top brass are typically out on the road with the boss... it also sounds like this guy was trying to contact campaigns during the Christmas season when people are usually on vacation and even busy campaigns only have skeleton crews...

What is strange is that Rick's peeps wouldn't want to be more forthcoming on this... this is an issue that plays to Rick's strengths in the primary...
