Kay to give commencement speech to Sam Houston State next month...

Kay will be speaking to graduates at Sam Houston State University in May (link). Excerpt follows...

U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison will join Texas State University System Regent Michael Truncale and educational consultant Mike Morrow in addressing some of the more than 1,700 students at Sam Houston State.

Hutchison will address the 2 p.m. Saturday graduates, Truncale will speak at the 10 a.m. Saturday ceremony, and Morrow will deliver the Friday evening ceremony’s speech.

The first, and only, to date, woman to be elected to the U.S. Senate from Texas, Hutchison has served in Congress since 1993.

I wonder if Kay will take the opportunity to make a charged up political speech ripping Rick for his secession comments, or if she will give the standard mushy commencement address that most people give in that situation. 1700 people is a lot of people, so you'd hope she'd take advantage of speaking in front of that many people.

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
