Rick to give commencement address to Prairie View A&M...

Rick is scheduled to deliver the graduation speech for Prairie View A&M University later this month (link). Excerpt follows...
Texas Governor Rick Perry will address members of the spring class of 2009 during Prairie View A&M University’s Graduation Ceremonies.

The Commencement Exercises will be held Saturday, May 16 in the William “Billy” J. Nicks, Sr. Health & Physical Education Building.
This year the university is preparing to confer degrees on nearly 850 candidates from its nine colleges and schools during two commencement exercises. University officials are
preparing for a consecutive history making graduating class, with inclusion of doctoral degree candidates from the university’s juvenile justice, electrical engineering and educational leadership programs.

Governor Perry is scheduled to deliver the commencement address during the university’s 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. commencement ceremonies. Both ceremonies will be held in the William “Billy” J. Nicks, Sr. Health & Physical Education Building on campus.

Both Rick and Kay are delivering these graduation speeches around the state. Is there much strategy that goes into the selections, or is it just a matter of being invited and accepting?

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
