What did Kay tell Democrat Bill White, and when did she tell him?

This is a story I was reluctant to go with because it seemed to originate entirely on the left side of the blog-o-sphere (link), no offense to them, but now it has hit conservative blogs too...

Townhall has a blog up about the hubbub from late last week about Kay revealing campaign secrets to Houston Mayor Bill White, former chair of the Texas Democratic Party (link). Excerpt follows...
If it is true that Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is giving inside information regarding her plans to resign only to the Democrat trying to replace her, that would certainly be an issue in the GOP gubernatorial primary.

... Regardless of the "insider information" allegations, it is still unclear whether or not Hutchison will resign from the senate to focus on her gubernatorial campaign.
The always full of vim and vigor RG Ratliffe wrote about Kay's potential sharing of campaign secrets with Bill White last week, and Kay's spokesman had to change a statement he made in response (link)...

Statement 1.
"Kay Bailey Hutchison does not discuss political strategy with Democrats. Senator Hutchison has said she will not seek re-election and will resign her seat at a later date. The timeframe for that resignation has not been set. Believe me, Bill White has no inside information as it relates to our campaign," -Hans Klingler
Statement 2.
"Kay Bailey Hutchison does not discuss political strategy with Democrats. Senator Hutchison has said she will not seek re-election and may resign her seat at a later date. The timeframe for that resignation has not been set. Believe me, Bill White has no inside information as it relates to our campaign."
Notice the change? It is very subtle. In the statement, Kay may resign, not will resign. R.G. said Hans Klingler said it. Wayne Slater meanwhile said Rick Wiley said it (link). Either way, it was a mixed signal. I am honestly now very confused. Is she resigning or not? Is that decision public yet or not?

Phillip Martin of Burnt Orange completely shredded Kay's spokesman over this backtrack (link) and later provided some additional evidence proving that Kay had been gabbing with Bill White (link). Sure it is a liberal blog and they don't always have the most credibility with conservatives like me, again no offense, but Phillip cited and sourced that particular blog pretty solidly. If he dropped the overt and angry hostility toward Kay, his blog titled "TX-Sen: Direct Quote of White Saying There Will be a Special Election" could have been that of a reputable investigative journalist.

I am hoping Kay did not give Bill White insider info about her resignation, but it appears that she very well might have. Did she give the same information to Michael Williams, Roger Williams, David Dewhurst, Greg Abbott, and the other Republicans vying for Kay's seat? What about John Sharp?

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
