Rick promoting Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell... plus Doug Hoffman...

Rick put his name on a letter from the RGA soliciting funds for Republican candidates in New Jersey and Virginia. The entire letter from October 27 follows...

Dear Fellow Conservative,

The tide is shifting in America.

As quickly as the sea of “change” swept into power President Barack Obama and liberal Democrats in Congress, you and your fellow patriots are responding – by standing up to them.

But it’s going to take each of us pitching in -- $250, $100, $50, or even $15, $10 or $5 will make a difference.

But just as we were breaking through to Nancy Pelosi and other liberals she goes out and calls you, rather than “grassroots” – “Astroturf.”

With hundreds of thousands, even millions, of Tea Party activists across the country standing for freedom, President Obama and his liberal allies could care less about our concerns.
That’s why I want to tell you about the Republican Governors Association. This is one Republican organization that doesn’t represent Washington, D.C.’s interests but rather your interests, and they have a real plan to send a message to the Obama political machine.

It's time that we come together to send a strong message to Pelosi and Obama that we will not "Do What We are Told" when it comes to Government Healthcare, Cap and Tax, and the Union Bosses Card Check.

That is where RGA’s plan comes in. Democrats know that a loss in the Virginia Governor’s race will be a major blow to the Obama agenda. That is why Union Bosses and the Democratic National Committee have invested millions in this race.

To counter their fundraising efforts we have launched our GOP Comeback Fund, aiming to raise $150,000 to help us win crucial Governors’ races. The plan gets better thanks to a generous matching program. Each donation raised between now and November 1 will be matched 2 to 1. So if you donate $100 we will end up with $300 of crucial funds to fight the Obama/Pelosi agenda.

$300 of crucial funds going to fight the Obama/Pelosi agenda. This is the most

important time you could ever donate to the Republican Governors Association -- the

RGA is committed to free-market, state-based solutions to the country’s problems.

But it’s going to take each of us pitching in -- $250, $100, $50, or even $15, $10 or $5 will make a difference.

Can you think of a louder message to send to President Obama and his liberal allies than the one they’ll get this time? That’s why I’m asking you today to please pitch in to make sure we send a loud, clear message to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi: NO to higher taxes, NO to runaway spending, and NO to apologizing for being patriots.

Thank you,

Rick Perry,
Governor of Texas

Rick has also put out a letter raising money for Doug Hoffman, has mentioned Christie and McDonnell by name in recent radio interviews, and has used his facebook account to promote his fellow Republicans in those states.

I did find a @TeamKay tweet saying she attended a Bob McDonnell fund raiser months ago, but she has been surprisingly quiet on these races. Not endorsing Hoffman I think was a big mistake for Kay. Rick saw the writing on the wall. Say what you will about the guy but he is a smart politician who knows how to piggyback on a winner...

Hey now, campaign characters. Be nice. I know a lot of you on both sides, so I don't want any overly foul language, personal attacks on anyone other than the candidates themselves, or other party fouls. I will moderate the heck out of you if you start breaking the bounds of civility.
